Designs by BASE started in September, 2022 as a creative outlet to express my love of color, design and desire to encourage and uplift family and friends during the challenging times they faced with handcrafted gifts of mosaic tile coasters, hand painted plaques, and jewelry made with pony beads and charms. Many of the people I gave these gifts to let me know that I should sell them because they loved them so much. I learned how to make the coasters through a class which was offered through our Catawba county Library system. I enjoyed it so much that I started purchasing the necessary products to make my own coasters.
I lead an active life and enjoy doing many things now that I am retired from teaching and working as a pharmacy technician. What started as a hobby has become a way of showing others the beauty that is present around our world through God’s creation.
My company name Designs by BASE are my initials Barbara Ann Sidbury Eckard but I also want to be known as someone that Believes, Achieves & Serves Enthusiastically.
